Josh Sides

Josh Sides, holding the Sunland grizzly skull, is Whitsett Professor of California History at California State University Northridge. He has published two books: L.A. City Limits: African American Los Angeles from the Great Depression to the Present (University of California Press, 2004) and Erotic City: Sexual Revolutions
and the Making of Modern San Francisco
(Oxford University Press, 2009). He also serves as editor of California History, the state’s ninety-year-old historical journal. More of his work can be found at www.joshsides.com.
