Exploring the Pacific Science Center’s Bee Hive

Apiarists around the world are dealing with a most perplexing problem: many of their bees are missing! It's called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), the mysterious ailment that is leaving beehives without workers. Since we maintain a hive here at Pacific Science Center, we're keenly interested.

Exploring Secrets of Ancient Egypt

The mummy of a seven- to eight-month-old infant in the collection of the Saint Louis Science Center was recently examined by a team of scientists, who used computed tomography (CT) scanning and other high-tech methods to unravel its secrets.
