Gregory B. Skomal and Stephanie A. Wood

Gregory B. Skomal, senior fisheries biologist at Massachusetts Marine Fisheries, is head of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program (MSRP). Stephanie A. Wood is Lecturer of Biology, College of Science and Mathematics, University of Massachusetts Boston. Much of the article "Gray Seals and White Sharks Meeet Anew" is based on her 2009 doctoral dissertation at the UMass Boston, “Dynamics of Recolonization: A Study in the Gray Seal (Halichoerus grypus) in the Northeast U. S.” Robert S. Michelson is a professional photographer/videographer currently under permit with NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service to document gray seal life history and research activities on Muskeget Island and the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge on Cape Cod.
