Ron Russo

Ron Russo retired six years ago as chief naturalist of the East Bay Regional Park District in Oakland, California. He has published Field Guide to Plant Galls of California and Other Western States (University of California Press, 2007), among other field guides. To date he has discovered sixty-five new species of gall-inducing organisms, including bacteria, fungi, aphids, moths, midges, and wasps.
